Facts: Police were in an unmarked car parked at Kings Cross when a van pulled up. Our client approached the van and purchased a small quantity of cocaine. Instead of following the supplier, police arrested our client. He assisted police with details as to how he made contact with the drug supplier. He was not a regular drug user and had no prior criminal convictions or criminal record.
Result: The client pleaded guilty and the charge was dismissed upon him entering into a good behaviour bond under section 10 Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act. The Magistrate noted his co-operation with police and the fact that he had never been in trouble before.
