Facts: Client was charged with Inflicting GBH with intent, a strictly indictable offence that must be dealt with in the District Court. Client punched his neighbour who was threatening him. Client broke his hand in the punch.

Result: After negotiations the serious charge of Inflicting GBH with Intent was replaced with Assualt Occassioning Actual Bodily Harm. Following a defended hearing in the local court the charge was dismissed.
