Local Court:Client was represented by another firm in relation to various charges including assault police and resist police. His legal representative entered a plea of guilty without instructions to do so hoping to have no conviction recorded; client convicted and fined preventing client from carrying on work as a security guard.
On Appeal: Submissions prepared and CCTV footage obtained clearly showing that client was not guilty of any criminal behavior. DPP (Director of Public Prosecutions) office concede the appeal. Conviction overturned. Legal proceedings commenced against police for false imprisonment and malicious prosecution.
