Riyad El-Choufani graduated with Honours in Law from Macquarie University in 2007. He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and has commenced a postgraduate Master of Laws degree at Sydney University. Riyad undertook his practical legal training under the tutelage of an experienced barrister with an extensive practice in criminal law. He was exposed to a diverse range of criminal law matters and worked closely with prestigious counsel.

Riyad was then provided with a unique opportunity to work as a consultant with one of the Big Four professional services firm. However, he could not resist his passion for criminal law and soon returned to criminal defence work as a solicitor with Nyman Gibson Stewart.

Possessing a critical mind and strong work ethic, Riyad has a natural affinity for the underdog and is determined to protect the rights of his clients.
